Dear Kingsway Animal Hospital Clients,
As 2020 comes to a close, we want to say thank you for your support this past year! Like many other businesses, Covid-19 brought us new challenges. We appreciate your understanding while we navigate curb-side pick-ups, check-ins, discharges and payments in our parking lot and also at our new customer service window (located next to the front door).
As recommended by the Ontario Public Health guidelines, social distancing and wearing a mask have been appreciated to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, so we can continue to provide care to your pets during these difficult times. While we’ve missed seeing your faces in the clinic, we have enjoyed all the extra time (especially the snuggles) we have got to spend with your pets while you have been waiting in the parking lot at their appointments.
After an unfortunate ransom-ware attack that affected us this fall, we want to reassure our clients that new measures have been implemented and while we are still working to rebuild our medical records and rectify our accounts receivable, your patience through this time has been extremely appreciated.
The pandemic will be remembered in the veterinary world as the time of puppies and kittens. We have been lucky to share in the excitement with many of you welcoming new family members this year. As these little ones are growing up over the next few months we are anticipating an influx of spay and neuter surgeries in the new year and ask for your advance booking requests, when possible.
Much like the great toilet paper shortage of 2020, we have also experienced delays with our suppliers so we encourage orders of prescriptions and food to be called in early. For those of you who find it more convenient to order online we have partnered with MyVetStore (www.myvetstore.ca) which offers the convenience of options such as: at home delivery, auto-ordering and hospital pick-up. An added bonus of using this website is some great manufacturer discounts and promotions. Vet2Pet is another App we introduced this year giving you the ability to check when your pets are due for exams and vaccinations, placing orders for hospital pick-up, scheduling appointments, requesting records and the ability to redeem rewards awarded for your purchases and visits.
While we have got to share many special moments with you, we also want to acknowledge the passing of some of your best friends this past year. It has truly been our pleasure to provide care to your pets and we realize saying goodbye is never easy and we are thinking of you.
